Client Testimonials

"I am happy to express my gratitude for the results of the surgery that Dr. Pullen performed on our 5-year-old GSD "Prieta." The Tightrope surgery was performed in February and she is now bouncing around like a puppy. She was my running partner for years and is currently almost back to her daily 5 miles without difficulty (for her!). She is running hills and swimming on a consistent basis.

I wish you continued success with your treatments. It meant a lot to me (and Prieta).

Let the Games Begin

We All Got It!

We Are Family

"AMSC is different from the moment you walk in, from the friendly knowledgeable reception and boarding staff to the quality of veterinarians on site. Our dogs are family and AMSC treats them that way. We have taken our two Boerboels here since they are puppies and our well aged 17-year old shepherd-lab mix loves the attention she receives as well.  The boarding staff goes above and beyond for the quality of care and service they provide. It’s been a pleasure having our dogs stay at their facility."

Life Is Good

"I love the fact that my dog can play with other dogs in a controlled environment as opposed to just being a penned up couch potato! It is comforting to know that if anything ever happened to him or he got sick, there is a fabulous, trained staff of medical personnel just steps away."

"Buddy has so much fun that he can hardly wait to go to AMSC!  We can check in on him through the web cam and he has a wonderful place to play and run around with other dogs.  If you tour the facility, you will see that the dogs have wonderful accommodations and love to be there!  We like to board Buddy at AMSC because it is like having your pediatrician baby sit your child.  If he dog needs medical care, there is someone there 24/7 to care for him. The staff takes great care of him and we feel great about leaving him!"

Only half of the Pate family!

"The main reason we chose to board our kids at AMSC is because it is the next best thing to having them at home.  For extended stays, our kids especially enjoy the upstairs condos with windows to the outside. The suites are large enough for two to three to room together comfortably. Everyday they have fun with supervised play times in the indoor park.

We feel the most important thing about AMSC are the people working there. The Doctors and Staff are professional, experienced and truly care about our Boxers. I can trust that each one will get special attention, get their meals on time, eat the same food they have at home, and be kept safe. There is always someone there watching the dogs and always someone available to give me updates any time I call, 24/7!

Knowing our kids are safe, happy, and well cared for gives us great peace of mind when we need to be out of town.  THANKS, AMSC!"

Daisy

"Soon after I adopted Daisy, back when she was still just a pup, she badly injured her knee (torn CCL).  Fortunately, Dr. Pullen and his amazing team were able to repair her knee using the TTA surgical procedure, enabling her to get back out setting the race pace at our local dog park in no time.  Daisy lives to run.  Now, Daisy likes to return to AMSC just to visit when I go out of town - it's really her home away from home.  She leaps out of the car and races into the lobby, knowing that her many friends (human and pet) can't wait to welcome her back!"

Pam Gaber with Jack

"Thank you AMSC for saving our 'Jack.' We will never forget the long hours you all put in and all the love you gave to our boy. You are the BEST!"

Dr. Pullen,

"I thought you might be interested in seeing what a great job you did on RJ. It's been a little over a year since his surgery to repair the shattered bones in his leg and nine months since you removed the plate. He's doing fabulous. He is healthy, happy, very energetic and athletic. His leg doesn't hinder him whatsoever. We take him and his brother (Chili) for runs in the desert (which he loves) and I'm planning to take him quail hunting this fall. He's a wonderful boy and has filled our lives with so much love. Thank you so much for your care and expertise in gettng him mended. You and your staff were so wonderful to RJ and to us. We felt more like we had friends tending to him than just medical staff. My wife, RJ, Chili and I live about 20 miles southeast of Tucson and feel the drive to Scottsdale was a small price to pay knowing RJ would be in such great hands."

Kindest regards,

"We have been a part of Dr. Pullen’s practice for over ten years.  As with most people who love their pets, our dogs have always been integral members of our family with their healthcare being extremely high on our priority list. Lilly has been hospitalized twice: once for severe pancreatitis and once, quite recently, when both she and Hannah had a mystery illness, which kept them in the hospital for several days. Dr. Pullen saved their lives each time. With each incident, Dr. Pullen has made us feel like they are his only patients. His expertise both with surgery, as well as with medical issues, is unsurpassed.

The new Animal Medical and Surgical Center of North Scottsdale is state-of-the-art with every imaginable amenity.  The telephone is answered 24 hours per day and staff is always accessible for updates on a hospitalized pet.  How very comforting this is!!!  With all of the technology, the Center has retained an individual, warm and caring attitude to patients and their “parents”.

"Jack and I feel totally confident when we leave our animals in the care of AMSC. We have used their grooming, boarding and veterinary services since the initial opening of the new facility and have never been disappointed.  It was Cathy, our dog’s groomer, who was instrumental in coaxing our little Australian Silky Terrier, Jazzy, out of her shell, and now she is extremely outgoing and playful. Cathy always has Jazzy and Rags looking beautiful when we pick them up from their bath and grooming!"

"The hardest part of moving to Scottsdale was the thought of having to find a new veterinary hospital for our Doxie girls, Dallas & Houston. Then we walked into Animal Medical & Surgical Center and knew our worries were over. Aside from being a beautiful facility, the state-of-the-art surgical room and cutting edge technology assured us that our girls would receive the best possible care.

We can’t say enough about the boarding staff and the accommodations. We travel quite a bit and do so without any concerns for our dog’s welfare.  We feel that they are in the best of hands, next to ours!

We recommend AMSC to all our friends!"

Tom, Nicki, "Dallas" & "Houston" Lewis

"Dr. Pullen has been our vet for over twenty-five years.  He has taken good care of several generations of dogs for our family.  His new animal hospital is the best I have ever seen.  His associates and staff are always very helpful, courteous and polite.

Dr. Pullen has always been so kind to us in our sad times and very happy with us during the good times.  We take very good care of all of our dogs. We would only have the best vet and Dr. Pullen is the best.  During the past years he has always gone beyond the call of duty to help our dogs during any sickness or medical problem.  I would recommend Dr. Pullen and Animal Medical and Surgical Center to everyone."

"Baron's like a member of our family — the biggest member! We wouldn't dream of taking him anywhere but to Animal Medical and Surgical Center, even for routine things like shots and teeth cleaning. We know the doctors and staff at Animal Medical & Surgical Center will always provide him with the absolute best medical attention available."

Catherine & Garry Jestadt

“We chose Animal Medical and Surgical Center because we knew without any doubt that our dogs would receive the highest quality medical care that's out there. And they're worth it."

David Schneider & Casandra Arruda

"These dogs mean the world to us. They're like our own children. So when Andy had to undergo the difficult ordeal of hip surgery, we were thankful we had chosen Dr. Pullen and Animal Medical and Surgical Center to be our vet all those years ago. Not only does he genuinely care about us and our boys, he's the best there is in terms of veterinary skill. We have to drive clear across town to go there, but we wouldn't go anywhere else."

Dear Dr. Pullen,

"Dale and I wish to extend our deepest gratitude for the superior care we know Buster received at your facility. I took a chance when I called your hospital out of the yellow pages, and it really paid off. Not only did your staff get Buster an appointment within 24 hours of my call, you also treated us like we'd been clients for years. I've never felt so confident about any office in the Valley until now.

Thank you for spending so much time consulting with us and helping us understand our problem with Buster. We're praying that this will only be Valley Fever. Today is Buster's birthday and he celebrated with a Krispy Kreme doughnut with sprinkles (only once a year!) Even though he's still groggy from surgery, he still knows how to party! I know that if your super office has anything to do with it, Buster will celebrate many, many more birthdays with us and his sister, Roxie.

God Bless you all and the fine work you do."

Dear Dr. Pullen and the wonderful staff,

"I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you did to save Whoopi's life. I feel very fortunate to have found Animal Medical and Surgical Center. I may not have had such luck with Whoopi had I been somewhere else. The care you give the animals at your hospital is by far the best I have ever seen. You nurture each and every animal as if they were the only patient there. I have seen all of you care for the animals better than I have seen some human patients cared for at hospitals.

I truly don't know how to thank you enough for the extra effort you put in to save Whoopi. She and Kitty are like children to my husband and me. I left there each night after visiting with her and I never worried how she was being cared for when I was not with her. You all are so kind and so caring and I think Whoopi has been blessed to have been in your knowledgeable and loving hands.

We will always be grateful for all that you did. Thank you."

Dear Dr. Pullen and staff:

"Classy and her family want to say thank you for the wonderful care she received. Classy is pretty much back to being herself (or said another way, running the house!). Over the years, Alan and I have dealt with many veterinarians and their staff and we have never been treated with such kindness. The care given Classy was not only excellent, but also so gentle and kind. It makes one feel good to know that you and your staff love our Classy as much as we do.

So again, Classy, Alan and Stephanie say thank you."

Alan, Stephanie and "Classy" Troth
