Laparoscopic Spay

Laparoscopic Spay: This is a minimally invasive, advanced surgery where small keyholes are made in the abdominal wall. The abdominal organs are then examined via a small camera (laparoscope) which give better visualization and magnification. The patient’s ovaries are then excised preventing future pregnancies as well as many other future problems such as pyometra and even some cancers.

In video #1, a laparoscope has been inserted and under direct visualization, the target organ lifted. In the second video, the target organ (ovary) is been cut from the attachment. In the final video (#3), the ovary is removed from the body. The last photo shows the two small incision of a laparoscopic procedure in a small animal.
