Dr. Nicole Chun, DVM, CCRP, DACVSMR, received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences with honors from Oregon State University in 2011. She then earned her veterinary degree from the University of California, Davis in 2015, followed by a one-year rotating medicine and surgery internship at Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa, Florida. Between 2017 and 2021, Dr. Chun nurtured her love for sports medicine and rehabilitation at Veterinary Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Group in Annapolis Junction, Maryland with whom she completed a one-year specialty internship, three-year residency, and one-year fellowship. During that time, she also received her certification in canine rehabilitation therapy from the University of Tennessee (CCRP) in 2017, received acupuncture training from CuraCore in 2018, and became a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2021.
Dr. Chun is trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound for both the diagnosis and treatment of injuries to our canine athletes and companions alike. She is also well-versed in regenerative medicine and its use for osteoarthritis and tendon and ligament injuries. A native of Hawaii, Dr. Chun loves a day at the beach (probably not something she will get to do anytime soon in the Arizona!), but is looking forward to the desert sunsets, and hiking. She has a rescue Staffordshire terrier named Willett that accompanies her on all of her adventures!
