Dr. Patrick Hennigan is originally from Central New York State. He received his Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology (summa cum laude) from Mount Ida College in 2010. After working as an Anesthesia Technician at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine for a few years he decided to pursue his degree to become a Veterinarian. Dr. Hennigan earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with highest honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After graduation Dr. Hennigan returned to Central New York where he practiced as a small animal general physician for three years. Dr. Hennigan has a special interest in surgery as well as anesthesia and emergency and critical care. He joined Animal Medical and Surgical Center in July 2019 as a surgical intern to further his interest in the field of small animal surgery. His surgical interests are abdominal soft tissue surgeries and knee joint surgeries.
Outside of work he enjoys several outdoor activities. Dr. Hennigan has a yellow Labrador retriever named Halley who has traveled with him since 2010.
