Erika

Certified Veterinary Technician

Erika is originally from Illinois. She spent several years working as a Certified Public Accountant before discovering her love of veterinary medicine. She went back to school to obtain an AAS in Veterinary Technology and joined the AMSC team upon graduation. She spends most of her spare time with family but also enjoys running, hiking, and practicing yoga.

Alexis C.

Technician

Alexis was born and raised in Desert Hills, Arizona. She has worked in a variety of veterinary settings. Everything from herd health in an animal shelter to scrubbing in with specialists. She is always looking forward to new research and continuing her education. Although she has been in the field for multiple years, she always looks forward to another day and puzzling case. Alexis graduated in the top of her class from Carrington College with a certificate in veterinary assisting. She is currently continuing her education by pursuing her Associate in Science at GCC. In her spare time, she loves going to the zoo and/or aquarium with her son, going off-roading and cuddling with her fur baby Obi as well as her feathered friend Roxy.

Alexis

Lead Technician, CVT

Alexis graduated from Bellingham Technical College in 2014 and obtained her CVT. She has been in specialty medicine with a passion for anesthesia. She hopes to expand her education and gain her technician specialty license in anesthesia (CVTSA).

Courtney

Certified Veterinary Technician

Courtney is a new graduate with 2 years of experience with Pima Medical Institute, but has been involved in veterinary medicine since high school. She has joined our surgery team and is looking forward to a long career in specialty medicine.

Julianna

Technician

Julianna was born and raised in Southern California. She obtained her Associates degree from Carrington College in 2016 and went on to pass her national board exam. After two and a half years working in ICU and emergency, Julianna is finally getting to pursue her long-term career goal working as a surgical technician. She lives in Old Town with her older sister and their two dogs “Madden” and “Jay Boy”.

Jason

Technician

Jason graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. He moved from California to work with our team here at AMSC. Jason has a love for animals of all sizes which he inherited from his grandfather who was a practicing Veterinarian.

Lyn

Technician

Lyn initially started her career in business, but volunteered all her spare time to Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation. In addition to being a dedicated team member here at AMSC, she is also currently working to obtain her Master’s Degree in Applied Biological Sciences at ASU and plans to apply to veterinary school in the near future!

Larkin

Certified Veterinary Technician

Larkin started her career shortly after graduating with her Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2003 from the State University of New York. Shortly after she passed her national exam, she received LVT license in the state of New York. After graduation, she worked numerous years in general practice across New York and Boston, MA. Larkin moved to the valley of the sun in 2012 and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2014. She has, since then, restructured her focus to specializing in surgery, emergency and outstanding patient care.

Ashley

Certified Veterinary Technician

Ashley is a native to the valley and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to her career in the veterinary field, she was a hairstylist for about 8 years.

She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in August 2017 and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in January of 2018. She loves learning new skills in the field and really enjoys expanding her knowledge. In her spare time, Ashley likes to read and hangout with her fur family of 4 dogs, a rabbit and a pet rat.

Cynthia

Technician

Cynthia is originally from Yuma, AZ. She moved up to the Scottsdale area in 2011. Cynthia went to Apollo College to become an assistant vet tech and graduated from Apollo in 2007. She started working in general practice clinics early in her career. She then moved on to work at a spay and neuter clinic. Cynthia found her passion was in general practice and so she returned to that field for a few years, where she eventually became a Lead Technician and Office Manager. After a few years, she decided to broaden her horizons and pursued being an emergency technician. Cynthia works full-time in general practice and part-time in emergency. She loves to keep up her skills and provide the best care to all the patients she treats. Cynthia plans to attend Penn Foster to become a Certified Veterinary Technician in her future. In her spare time, Cynthia loves things that keep her hands busy. She enjoys carpentry, knitting and crocheting. She also loves to spend time playing with all her pets. She has 7 dogs, 3 cats, a hairless rat, orange bearded dragon, and a boa.

Jackie

Technician

Jackie is originally from Chicago, IL but has grown up most of her life in AZ. She has been in the veterinary field for about 5 years starting out in general practice, then moving on to emergency and specialty. She is currently attending ASU majoring in Biological Science. In her spare time, Jackie enjoys music, hiking and catching up on much needed sleep after a long week!

Krista

Technician

Krista is another Arizona native on our team. She started working in the field right out of high school, 14 years ago. Her spare time is spent being a full-time mom and enjoying activities with her kiddos. Krista loves to travel and enjoys the outdoors. She loves all animals and currently has a pit/mastiff mix, 2 cats, a ball python and bearded dragon.

Lauren

Technician

Lauren is an Arizona native who has traveled around to live in both Missouri and Florida. She has worked as a Veterinary Technician for 5 years and has a passion for critical care. She has 2 dogs and 3 cats. In her free time, she runs and trains for ultra-trail marathons. Lauren also loves swimming, boating, hiking, and just about anything outdoors.

Kayla

Lead Technician

Kayla has been in the veterinary field since 2006, her love of animals propelling her into the industry right out of high school. She has been with ANIC neurology since December of 2016. Kayla loves to learn and is currently working towards obtaining her CVT. Outside of work, Kayla spends time with her two dogs (Makoto and Kaida) as well as her two cats (Ayame and Ru). Her hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, drawing, and home renovations.

Shana

Lead Technician

Shana came to Arizona to study Biology at Arizona State University and received her Bachelor degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. After school, she started working at a general practice and emergency clinic where she fell in love with the veterinary field. She began working for ANIC neurology in April of 2017 and enjoys learning all about neurologic care. She will be pursuing further education to gain her Certification as a Veterinary Technician and aspires to become a certified Neurology Technician. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors. Water sports are her favorite!

Jolinda

Certified Veterinary Technician

Jolinda joined ANIC neurology in fall of 2016 and tells everyone she has been “the happiest and luckiest technician ever since!” She takes great pride and dedicates herself to outstanding patient care. She has been in the veterinary field for twelve years, with five of those recent years as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Jolinda says that “ANIC has become my forever home, and with their love, support, and care I will continue to learn and grow.” Jolinda is looking forward to achieving her goal of becoming a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Neurology. She enjoys her time with our team, clients, and patients and strives to turn each day into a great and joyful one!

Christine

Certified Veterinary Technician

Christine grew up knowing she wanted to help the sick be well again. She has worked in the veterinary field for 20 plus years, gaining her CVT license in 2004. She has worked in referral practices, emergency centers, as a veterinary oncology technician and now a part of ANIC neurology. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, knitting, hiking and exploring the fun of Phoenix with her husband. She and her husband have two cats, Blake and Katy.

Amanda

Technician

Amanda is an Arizona native who has been in the veterinary field for several years. She started her career in general practice but has now joined the Neurology team here at AMSC! She spends most of her time outside of work being a ‘rad mom’ to her crazy twin 4-year old boys. Amanda also loves to spend time with all her fur babies, Cooper, Keeloh, Cash and Miss Lady.

Samantha

Certified Veterinary Technician

Sam has been in the veterinary field since 2005, with an interest in both Marine Biology & Neurology. She worked at a privately-owned practice in Mesa starting out as a kennel attendant and grew to be a Certified Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in March 2017. Shortly after, she passed national and state boards to become a CVT in September 2017. Sam joined ANIC neurology in January of 2018 and is working toward her specialty certification within the field. She likes to spend most of her spare time with her 3 fur kids (her dachshund named Demi, rat Jasper and Rottweiler Bodhi) as well as take vacation to Alexandria, MN to visit her best friend.
