Lyn

Veterinary Relations Representative/Marketing

Lyn started her career in business and marketing, spending all of her free time volunteering with wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. She decided to pursue her interests in Veterinary Medicine full time in 2017 and began working in General Practice as a technician before joining the Internal Medicine department at AMSC in 2018. Utilizing her background in marketing, Lyn then became our Veterinary Relations Representative and currently coordinates patient transfer between other hospitals and AMSC for specialty surgery and treatment. She is also responsible for our social media and website content. In her spare time, Lyn is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Applied Biological Sciences at ASU, and plans to apply to Vet School in the near future.

Alexis C.

Lead Technician, Primary Care

Alexis was born and raised in Desert Hills, Arizona. She has worked in a variety of veterinary settings. Everything from herd health in an animal shelter to scrubbing in with specialists. She is always looking forward to new research and continuing her education. Although she has been in the field for multiple years, she always looks forward to another day and puzzling case. Alexis graduated in the top of her class from Carrington College with a certificate in veterinary assisting. She is currently continuing her education by pursuing her Associate in Science at GCC. In her spare time, she loves going to the zoo and/or aquarium with her son, going off-roading and cuddling with her fur baby Obi as well as her feathered friend Roxy.

Samantha M.

Lead Certified Veterinary Technician, Neurology

Samantha has been in the veterinary field since 2005, with an interest in both Marine Biology & Neurology. She worked at a privately-owned practice in Mesa starting out as a kennel attendant and advanced her career to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in March 2017, and had taken her national and state boards shortly after. Samantha joined ANIC neurology in January 2018 and is currently working toward her specialty certification within the field. In her spare time she works with her three fur-babies: Demi, Bodhi and Cerce, on some pretty impressive obedience training!

Midge J.

Lead Veterinary Technician, ICU

Midge grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona, and is an alumni of Anthem College where she completed her Veterinary Technology degree. Growing up on a ranch, she was always surrounded by animals, but it was her own veterinarian that drew her attention to the veterinary field as a career. The way he seemed to “talk” to her animals made her realize that was the path she wanted to take. At home, Midge has two French Bulldogs named Cornelius and Harriet. In her spare time, she is an avid weight lifter and hiker who loves nature and being outside.

Ty

Building Maintenance

Ty was born in Bradenton, Florida and at a young age, his family moved to Channelview, Texas. At 27, he moved to Arizona with his lovely wife, Rebecca, now of 37 years. He was always on the construction side of things. Figuring things out as he went. Ty and his wife left Arizona for a brief six months to Oregon, only to return to the Valley of the Sun after a short period of time. Ty has been with AMSC since 2011. His history in construction has been an asset to our hospital and he sure works hard to keep AMSC looking great! Ty enjoys his time outside of work with Rebecca, reading God’s word and oh yes, his blue flamed Corvette.
